This might be a dumb question. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in October, and used a nasal mask for a month. It worked great and relieved all my symptoms. But after that month or so, it stopped being effective. The doctor checked my machine, mask, and data, and everything seemed OK. He said it's possible I'm opening my mouth at night, but not sure. I tried a chin strap.
He wants me to try a full face mask. Should I still TRY to sleep with my mouth closed? I haven't gotten used to this mask yet and it just feels weird to use it. Or are you supposed to always have your mouth open when using one? Or does it not matter?
If this doesn't work, my doctor wants to test me for narcolepsy.
